About Liana..
Hello
Thank you for visiting my website.
I am a compassionate and empathetic funeral celebrant, who has a real understanding of the importance of creating a personal and meaningful funeral.
I am a fully qualified and accredited civil funeral celebrant, trained by an Ofsted outstanding provider. I am a member of The Institute of Civil Funerals, a professional body, within the funeral industry. So you will be in safe hands with me.
As a funeral celebrant, this gives me the opportunity to serve the people of my community, and beyond, and play a supportive role in their lives in times of grief.
I have lived in Runcorn for 40 years, and it is now the place I call home. I'm originally from Liverpool, and I'm glad to say I haven't lost my Scouse warmth or humour! I am a wife, a mum to three grown up children, and a nanna to nine beautiful grandchildren.
As in any family, we have experienced loss, I know what its like when you lose a loved one, and how overwhelming it can be, not just navigating the grief, but all the other elements to a death, and organising a funeral, with an endless list of 'to do's'.
If you are visiting this website in a time of loss, please reach out and I will help you all I can in this difficult time, I have a real passion for celebrancy, and I promise to support you with your funeral arrangements, and together we can ensure that your loved one has the best possible send off you could wish for.
With love
Liana

What you can expect from me as your
Funeral Celebrant...
Before the funeral
Once you have appointed me, I will arrange a meeting in your home or at the funeral directors.
When we meet, it will give us chance for you to share the life story of your loved one, and what they meant to you and
others.
I will take notes as you share your memories with me, enabling me to create a true reflection of their life.
We can discuss music, readings and poems for the service, I can help you with ideas if you would like me to.
Within 48 hours of our meeting, I will craft a unique and distinctive tribute, reflecting your loved one's life that captures the essence of who they were.
I will send you a draft copy of the tribute as soon as it is done, to ensure that you are completely satisfied with its content. This also enables you to add or omit any content you wish.
On the day of the funeral
I will be there to meet you at the venue, I will be there to assist and support you and help you anyway I can, through a difficult and emotional day.
I will have worked closely with the funeral director, and chapel staff, to ensure the day goes smoothly.
I will conduct the ceremony with the utmost care and attention.
After the ceremony I will wait outside for you and assist you if you need me.
As you leave I will bid you farewell.
After the funeral
I will send you a copy of the tribute in a presentation folder as a treasured keepsake.
Let me help you capture those memories of a loved one with a bespoke funeral ceremony...
Creating a beautifully crafted funeral
for your loved one...

We will work together to create a ceremony blending your memories and reflections of a life that has been lived in its glorious uniqueness.
As a professionally trained funeral celebrant I will endeavour to craft a truly personal funeral ceremony, that is exactly how you wish it to be.
I am able to conduct ceremonies with a reference to faith or entirely secular. The choice, as always is yours to decide, to give you the funeral you envisage.
I will meet with you to discuss the ceremony, listen with quiet empathy and understanding of what you want, and your ideal vision for your goodbyes.
You will be able to check the ceremony before hand, and make any
alterations or amendments to the script, to construct a truly perfect farewell.
You will be presented with a full text of the ceremony afterwards as a treasured keepsake.

The choice of direct cremation and holding a celebration of life event...
'Today we are more concerned about where we have been in life, rather than where we are going after death'.
Direct cremations are becoming increasingly popular, funeral rituals have changed so much since the pandemic. People are preferring to celebrate their loved ones life, rather than have a traditional funeral.
They want to keep things simple and celebrate the life of the loved one at a later occasion, having no attended funeral at all.
For some, direct cremation makes more sense, and the direct choice is a considerably less cost than a traditional funeral.
Many people have already paid for funeral plans, to plan for the future, and see it as a way to relieve the family of the stress of organising and the cost of a traditional funeral.
With this direct choice a gathering is often arranged at a later date, in a venue that means something and holds happy memories for family and friends of the person who has passed away.
These occasions can be 'a celebration of life' enabling a space to remember and reminisce in a more informal way, about a life well lived. These ceremonies can include readings, memories, songs and a plethora of ways to remember a loved one.
I can help plan these gatherings, I will create a tribute that is focused on joy, memories, gratitude and love. Creating a time when everyone can contribute and enjoy celebrating the wonderfully unique life of their loved one.
This occasion has no time frame, and no set venue choice, it can be indoors or outdoors, it can be a daytime or an evening event.
There is no solemn goodbyes, but it can give closure, which is so important in the weeks, months and years ahead without a loved one, it is a beautiful way to say farewell...
